62 That was the year that was!

Not such a bad year, despite its many ups and downs. And not such a bad year for me and the (currently absent) camera. This is part two of my year in pics, you can see part one here. Not all of these images have appeared on the blog before, but regular readers will recognise most of them I'm sure. The others are orphan images that somehow fell by the wayside ... pictures that never matched up with the words.

knitsofacto is tagged 'knitter, blogger, photographer, country gal' ... looking at these there's been rather more of the last than the first this year. That will have to be remedied ... knitting ahoy! Although if you told me I had to choose between my knitting and my country life it's the knitting I'd give up.

This is a scheduled post ... we're partying! I hope if you're in the UK you will be too when it appears ... I've timed it to coincide with Jooles Holland's Hootenanny!

But before I don my glad rags I'm taking a moment to reflect on 2012 and the joy I've found in blogging, and to thank everyone who visits me here for popping by. And to say I hope you'll stick around for 2013 ... I have plans for the place. And for that studio I told you about. Work has begun! Woohoo!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR
And may the year ahead bring you and yours all that you hope for!

A quick note about the central image below. I never did get around to blogging about the photo session I had with a falconer. But that owl was coming in to land on his gloved hand ... which was on my shoulder! It was awesome!!!

  4. Joole's hootenanny is my soundtrack, I'm not big for new years, but Mr Holland is always a part of it, along with me sayivera wry few minutes 'I do wish I could play the piano like that'. My boys attempted staying awake tonight but all but middle were fallen along the wayside by 10:30.... Even hubby was heard snoring a little after 8pm ;-)

Enjoy your partying...exciting times ahead Annie!

I would like to thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind words of support about my hip issues. I went to a follow up appointment today and saw the xrays for myself and had the problem explained. Treatment can be offerd and the next step is a consultant at Duchy Hospital so I shall wait for tha appointment. In the meantime, I shall waddle around for a bit longer.
