About

A book-loving, beachcombing, berry-picking, backwoods kinda girl.

Writer, photographer & artist.
Wanderer & wilderness seeker.
Wildcrafter, natural dyer & knitter.

Trying to tread lightly on this earth.

Loves ...
winding country roads, wild woods, bonfires on the beach, a log fire in the grate, good coffee, the best chocolate, foot stomping music, blue jeans, long skirts that swish, woolly knits, winter snow, secondhand book shops, old black and white photographs, fresh flowers and floral things, and my whippets.

Disclosures
Once in a blue moon this blog may include affiliate links, if a purchase is made from such a link I may receive a small monetary credit.
In addition to my own photographs I will occasionally share other folks or institutions Creative Commons licensed images and stock photos. Such images will always be credited appropriately in image descriptions, footnotes, and/or EXIF data.

Permissions
Please don't reproduce my copyright material - my words, images, ideas, etc. - online or in print, without my express permission to do so.
Always ask me first.
Historically this blog has been used to raise money for Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders, via voluntary donations made directly to MSF by you in exchange for free knitting patterns received directly from me. These knitting patterns are still available and MSF still needs your cash. For more info see Original patterns and resources. But please note ... I have never profitted personally from publishing my original knitting patterns and I'd really rather you didn't either. Knitting a Demne baby jacket or a Downton hat, etc., to benefit a charity other than MSF is absolutely fine, knitting one for resale of any other kind isn't. Copyright applies to the written pattern, and in the UK designers also have internationally enforceable design rights. I will and have pursued those who use these patterns to benefit themselves rather than a charitable organisation.
